I studied film directing, as I think it would tremendously help me to be a better actor, and it's good to see the whole thing from another angle. I loved work with students on short films, UCLA really made us a big family. Sometimes, we got to make short films with the same scripts, it was so interesting to see everyone's film turned out to be so different. Thanks to my UCLA studies, I have two films in the film festival, "Forget to Remember" and "Wine Not". They were based on my previous relationships. My friends always say that I am like Taylor Swift in films.

Brenna Bigs - I try to integrate art in all aspects of my life

I agree that self-confidence is key when it comes to any type of art, including modeling and self-confidence. I would say that the most important thing to remember is your value and image. Is your art demonstrating your worth? How do you want to come off to your audience? If the art that you are doing does not reflect this, then don’t do it. Also, don’t be afraid to say no. You don’t need to be overly sexualized for success. I’ve had so many male photographers try to push me to reveal more or do more than I was comfortable with in shoots, and I’ve had a hard time always saying no, but it’s something you have to do. I had to explain to them that I’m ok with revealing more, but it has to serve a purpose that makes statements that align with my views. Create what you want to create - it’s your art form, express yourself how you wish to.

Jode - I like to encourage body confidence

The pink paint shoot was one of my favourite projects I have worked on.

Myself and Jason (Phototrinity) brainstormed ideas for this paint shoot and spent about 2 months getting the resources for it and planning exactly what we wanted to do. This shoot was split into two main sets of photos. The first was fun, creative, bright colourful shots, creating interesting body shapes and focusing on detailed imagery.

The second was of a slightly darker setting, expressing mental health awareness. This set was created with the message of showing vulnerability and struggles with mental health such as anxiety, depression and BPD. This was a very powerful shoot for me and something I could really use to be expressive and channel all of my energy into.

The shoot in total took around 8 hours in the studio. It was super fun, very messy and a hot shower afterward was much appreciated!

Sexualizing nudity falls under "a learned behavior" which term-wise is interchangeable with one's perspective or viewpoint. However you frame it the point is that it's taught to us from a very young age. Unfortunately, our society propagates this 'groupthink' about nudity and semi-nudity equating to eroticism when actually nudity is a physiological characteristic of humans.
